At Home Catering started providing meals for the DC Public Charter School system in September  2002 and provides food service to over 25 of DC Public Charter School and Day Care Centers through the National School Lunch Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program. We afford students with the same meals that are enjoyed at a restaurant  on a day to day basis. At Home Catering believes in quality food and quality service for everyone.  At Home Catering has opened its new state of the art facility in Washington, DC. This facility was designed to accommodate the mission of preparing meals, only for school and day care purposes.

OUR MANAGEMENT STAFF


At Home Management, LLC, was created in 2001, with the thought of it's President, Douglas “DJ” Jordan, to provide a quality meal service to Charter Schools in the Washington, DC metro area. DJ owned the casual dining restaurant, FoodBar DC, located in Washington, DC. He added Miguel Pena, Executive Chef,  into the mixture, and Miguel has achieved the position of Director of Operations for At Home Management, LLC.  They are currently working on a 25,000 sq ft location, to meet the great demand of School Food Service in the Washington, DC area.  DJs next stop is to create the same services in Dayton, Ohio; his hometown.  Prior to starting At Home Catering, Douglas “DJ” Jordan served in the United States Air Force and retired in July 2002, after 21 years of service to this country. He held management and leadership positions. He is committed to quality service. Miguel has been quite instrumental in fine tuning the operation ----allowing the quality and quantity of the restaurant food to make it to the tables of school scholars throughout the Washington, DC area. Miguel has been creating fine nutritional meals for over 20 years. His creations have been referred to as "magical."
Several of the meal recipes are the ones created by Miguel and DJ's mother, Elizabeth, who is a retired Dietitian from St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Dayton, Ohio.
